Marés by Anasta, in lush North Goa, is a tranquil retreat balancing modern comforts with earthy living. The four 3,600-square-foot villas serve as serene sanctuaries, blending contemporary style with the relaxed pace of tropical life. Sloping tiled roofs, arched openings, and plastered walls create a calming canvas, inviting breezes and light across limestone floors and handcrafted furniture.

Each villa features four bedrooms spread across two floors, providing a self-contained oasis with formal and informal living areas, a traditional Goan balcão, a deck, pool, and private bedrooms along with utility spaces. The villas are designed for a breezy, soporific lifestyle, with lime-textured walls, cooling limestone floors, and terrazzo surfaces in various hues inspired by the natural tones of limestone.

On the ground floor, expansive living and dining areas unfold beneath a double-height ceiling, alongside an open kitchen and two bedrooms, while the first floor houses an informal living area and two more bedrooms. As one moves through the home, subtle shifts in texture—from limestone and terrazzo to oak furniture and soft furnishings—create a calm, cohesive flow. Primary bedrooms feature terrazzo floors with Portuguese tile borders, paired with in situ terrazzo beds.

Entranceways and transitions are defined by recurring round arches that unify the spaces, leading to a terracotta-finished balcão designed for relaxed conversations or afternoon tea. The double-volume living room is wrapped in warm tones, with lime textured walls and French vanilla limestone floors forming a neutral base for bespoke furniture and lighting. Sculptural pieces by Wicker Story and Olie add artistic depth, blurring the line between function and art.

The bedrooms continue the restful mood, featuring a mix of concrete, terrazzo, and oak wood to create a sense of expansiveness. Bamboo pendant lights by Sandeep Sangaru add warmth to the bedside areas. Bathrooms are minimalist yet playful, with bespoke handmade tiles, lime textures, and locally sourced white Indian marble behind fluted glass sliding doors.

A series of cascading wooden treads leads to the first floor, a metaphor for slow living, where the third and fourth bedrooms offer distinctive charm with terracotta hues and natural light. Marés by Anasta embodies the essence of home, a serene oasis that balances indoor and outdoor living, perfect for those seeking rest and reflection.
